RECIPE FOR B&W DEVELOPERS & FIX

REVERSAL PROCESS
Developer D19
-Metol Developing Agent - 2 gram
-Sodium sulfite (Na2SO3) - 90 gram
-Hydroquinone (C6H4(OH)2) - 8 gram
-Sodium carbonate (Na2CO3) - 52.5 gram
-Potassium bromide (KBr) - 5 gram
-Water, about 50°C (120°F) to make 1 Liter

Bleach
-Potassium Dichromate (K2CR2O7) - 10 g
-Sulfuric Acid 96% (H2SO4) - 10 ml
-Water, about 20°C (65°F) to make 1 Liter

Note:
Always add the Sulfuric Acid to water and never vice versa as it can explode! So its clever to ad first the 10 g. Potassium Dichromate in 400ml warm water. When it’s desolved add cold water till almost 1l. Add the Sulfuric Acid and ad water till 1l.

Clear
-Sodium Sulfite (Na2SO3) - 40g
-Water, about 50°C (120°F) to make 1 Liter

Second Developer
Any BW developer that will make the film turn black (you could use the first). Fix: universal BW film/paper fixer will do. Be carefull: these chemicals are poison and explosive (sul- furic acid). Wear protective clothing, gloves and glasses

D-96 Developer (Negative)

-Metol Developing Agent - 1.5 g
-Sodium Sulfite - 75.0 g
-Hydroquinone - 1.5 g
-Potassium Bromide - 0.4 g
(or Sodium Bromide 0.35 g)
-Borax - 4.5 g -Water, about 50°C (120°F) to make 1 Liter

D-97 Developer (Positive)

-Metol Developing Agent - 0.5 g
-Sodium Sulfite - 40.0 g
-Hydroquinone - 3.0 g
-Sodium Carbonate - 20.0 g
-Potassium Bromide - 2.0 g
(or Sodium Bromide 1.75 g)
-Sodium Hydroxide - 2.0 g
-Water, about 50°C (125°F) to make 1.00 L

You can replace the developing agent Metol by Phenidone in ratio 5:1

F5 ACID FIX recipe for 1 liter

-Sodium thiosulfate - 240 grams
-Sodium sulfite - 15 grams
-Acetic acid, 28% solution - 48 ml
